Retreat Format Update
Enjoy sacred silence by day and peaceful hotel rest by night. The retreat now begins Friday morning.
Lenten Retreat for Women
Friday, March 20-Sunday, March 22
Friday Morning – Sunday Afternoon
Step away from the noise of daily life and enter into a sacred rhythm of silence, prayer, and restoration. This Lenten retreat invites women to listen deeply to the Lord, rest in His presence, and return home renewed in heart, mind, and soul.
A Weekend Crafted for Renewal
This Lenten retreat offers a beautiful rhythm of prayerful immersion by day and peaceful rest by night. Retreatants will spend their days at the retreat center in silence, conferences, and prayer, then retire each evening to nearby hotel accommodations for comfortable rest before returning refreshed the next morning. This arrangement is due to a temporary facility heating issue affecting our guest rooms. We have made these arrangements to ensure that you can rest comfortably and enter prayer refreshed each morning.
A Special Opportunity
This retreat weekend will coincide with the Regnum Christi Women’s Renewal Retreat taking place on the same grounds. While each retreat maintains its own schedule and silence, participants will be surrounded by a larger community of women seeking the Lord in prayer—creating a uniquely beautiful atmosphere of faith and devotion.

-
Accomodations: Overnight accommodations will be provided at a nearby hotel so that retreatants can enjoy peaceful rest each evening and return refreshed for prayer the next day. This arrangement is due to a temporary facility heating issue affecting guest rooms.
-
Silence: We ask that retreatants keep exterior silence for their own benefit and to respect others. We also encourage retreatants to keep interior silence by disconnecting from the noise of the world and unplugging from electronic devices for the duration of the retreat. Keeping silence may sound daunting, but you will be in an interior dialogue with the Lord. Note: complete silence cannot be guaranteed, especially during weekdays.
-
Meals: Healthy and balanced meals will be provided, and coffee, tea, fruit and snacks will be available throughout the retreat. With the exception of the initial dinner and the concluding lunch, meals will be in silence. Typically we listen to an audio book on themes correlated to the Spiritual Exercises or on the life of a saint.
-
What to wear: Your retreat is a time for prayer and reflection. Please dress comfortably and modestly out of respect for the sacred environment and those around you. We suggest comfortable shoes for walking, if you desire, and layers for changing weather.
-
What to bring: Please bring your personal toiletries and any necessary medications. Notebooks and pens will be provided—just bring your Bible and rosary. Additional reading material is not needed, as you will receive abundant spiritual content through the directed meditations.
Frequently Asked Questions:
- Where will participants stay overnight?
Retreatants will stay at a nearby hotel Friday and Saturday nights and return to the retreat center each morning. - Do you really think I can be silent?
“Let us not be afraid to be silent outside and inside ourselves, so that we are able not only to perceive God’s voice, but also the voice of the person next to us, the voices of others." (Pope Benedict XVI, July 4, 2010.)
Silence does not equal boredom! It is one of the key elements to the success of any retreat. God speaks to us in the silence of our hearts and so it is necessary to maintain an external and internal silence. Here are some tips to help you prepare and maintain silence during your retreat: Don’t bring any mobile or electronic devices, such as smart phones, laptops, etc. If absolutely necessary to have your phone, switch it to off or set it in airplane mode. Put all “pendings” and “to do” items in God’s hands…if you take care of His things, He’ll take care of yours! - Can I bring my infant?
We love infants and small children, however they can be a distraction to you and others who are trying to focus during a silent retreat. In order to keep the spirit of silence and prayer, we cannot accomodate infants or small children on our silent retreats. Thank you for your understanding.
Cost: $424 per person (includes retreat program, meals and hotel accommodations)
