But, in order to hear the voice of God,
one has to have silence
in one's soul...
-St. Faustina

I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting Him encounter them. No one should think that this invitation is not meant for him or her, since no one is excluded from the joy brought by the Lord.

Classic 3-Day Retreat

If you have never been on a silent retreat or if this is your first time doing the Ignatian spiritual exercises, we recommend the Classic Three Day experience.

This format is great for first-timers and those whose busy schedules won’t allow more than a weekend. Experience the essentials of the Spiritual Exercises in this intense weekend experience.

This version is designed to walk you through the dynamics of the Exercises with several guided meditations and conferences, as well as time for personal prayer. This option is also good for those who are learning to incorporate the program of life and a daily prayer routine into daily living.

Women's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

[This retreat] was such a life changing experience. I haven't known how to put it into words. I hope one day I can come again.

Women's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

I experienced Christ’s love in such a deep and profound way that I left completely transformed. I hope and pray that others will also have the grace and blessing to be able to attend.

Women's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

Incredible opportunity to grow spiritually and be quiet for once, without distractions.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

I would recommend the Spiritual Exercises weekends to anyone desiring for a deeper encounter with Christ.

Women's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

It was a peaceful, challenging, and much needed time to work on my relationships with Christ, whose patience I often strain, and whose attentions I sometimes ignore.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

Thank you for all the good work that you do for souls and for the Lord!

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

I had a wonderful experience with Fr. Peter. It was a lot to take in, but I enjoyed the discussions. It was a peaceful break from my hectic life.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

It’s good for your soul and faith life to step back from our daily lives and retreat to the Lord. It helps sharpen our faith and teach us ways to better live a Christian life.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

It is ordering and restorative to cut out all the noise of life and to just contemplate Christ and your place in His plan.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

Super good experience. Loved having the opportunity to retreat after more than 10 years. I’m glad that I came!

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

You don’t realize how much you need a retreat until you do one.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

A wonderful opportunity to experience spiritual growth, which, thanks to the very inspiriting words of Fr. Peter Hopkins, I believe I was very successful in achieving.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

This was a very powerful retreat. The meditations build on each other and the content and challenges get better and better through the weekend. Add in the opportunities for mass, general confession, spiritual direction and adoration, it all makes for a compelling weekend.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

It was fantastic. A much-needed spiritual re-charge.

Men's Spiritual Exercises Retreat

What sets this retreat apart [from others I have attended] was the concrete treatment of the spiritual lessons that I believe St. Ignatius was trying to impart in the Exercises and their immediate applicability to one’s day-to-day live.

Do you really think I can be silent?

“Let us not be afraid to be silent outside and inside ourselves, so that we are able not only to perceive God’s voice, but also the voice of the person next to us, the voices of others."  --Pope Benedict XVI, July 4, 2010

Silence does not equal boredom! It is one of the key elements to the success of any retreat. God speaks to us in the silence of our hearts and so it is necessary to maintain an external and internal silence.  Here are some tips to help you prepare and maintain silence during your retreat:

  • Don’t bring any mobile or electronic devices, such as smart phones, laptops, etc.
  • If absolutely necessary to have your phone, switch it to off or set it in airplane mode.
  • Put all “pendings” and “to do” items in God’s hands…if you take care of His things, He’ll take care of yours!

Can I bring my infant?

We love infants and small children, however they can be a distraction to you and others who are trying to focus during a silent retreat.  In order to keep the spirit of silence and prayer, we cannot accomodate infants or small children on our silent retreats.  Thank you for your understanding.

What are the Spiritual Exercises?

The Spiritual Exercises are an opportunity to retreat from the hectic, noisy world and encounter Jesus Christ in a more profound and personal way. These retreats touch on so many important aspects of the spiritual life. The central principles are self-knowledge, discernment of God’s will, and the decision to follow Christ our Lord more closely.
