Preparing for the New Normal
We are hopefully awaiting emerging COVID-19 guidelines from local government and church authorities that will allow us to resume normal operations, or at least a new normal. In anticipation of the day, OLB is preparing to be ready to welcome guests in safe and measured ways, following guidelines by the CDC and EPA.
Hopeful that restrictions will continue to ease, we are currently accepting registrations for some in-person programs, starting with our Annual Week-Long Spiritual Exercises for Women, scheduled to take place July 23-30, 2020. Enrollment will be limited by the guidelines of local authorities, which currently state that a maximum of 10 people can attend.
We will communicate directly before each retreat with those registered about changes to our customary protocols to reflect our on-going COVID 19 concerns (ie: food/dining service, liturgical requirements, social distance practices, etc.).
For those who register late, have compromised health situations, or may still have concerns about their personal safety, and when feasible, remote attendance will be available for our in-person retreats by registering for the Virtual Retreat option. Also, due to popular request, we plan to continue offering a selection of virtual programs. More information about those programs will be forthcoming.
Retreat Center Grounds
We welcome visitors to enjoy the beautiful grounds at OLB, provided that there is no official event taking place at OLB, and with the expectation that they will respect social distancing guidelines, maintaining adequate spacing from others and wearing masks if that is not possible.
When a scheduled event is taking place at OLB, we ask that you refrain from visiting the retreat center during these times to help us respect the safety of the retreatants and social distancing guidelines.
Be assured of our prayers for you. Stay safe, well, and close to Christ.

We Need Your Help!
Cancelling our programs significantly impacts the Center. Our programs help us to defray some of the costs of keeping the doors of OLB open! And, we estimate our monthly losses to be upward of $40,000.
Donations are what fill the gap.
Would you consider in your almsgiving a donation to OLB? Any amount will help us over the hump, and a monthly recurring offering to stabilize our finances would be especially helpful. In whatever amount, however, you can make the difference in the retreat center’s making it through this temporary downturn.
